Race Day 1 began with a surprising storm, which rolled in alarmingly fast just as we left the lost to begin racing. We ended up having to pull over, trailer the car, and drive it out of the storm. Once we were in the sun, we had a whole new set of problems to contend with. We had to navigate with little to no cell service, and predict the inclines of some particularly pesky rolling hills that really took it out of the car. There was a learning curve for sure, but we caught on quickly and took up a routine.
